  1. I got my prize from Tiff today!! a couple old German silver coins and a couple of wheat cents and an OIV nickel. Thanks!!
  2. Now the only dollars I need for my holed type set are the ASE, the Peace Dollar, and a commemorative dollar. The set is coming along nicely. If you have holed coins to trade or sell, check this link. You may be able to help me out.
  3. you misread th listing. The listed coin is T/T, and he is comparing his coin to another coin that was supposedly a H/H that sold for 140K. The guy is still nuts for wasting his listing fees like that, but that should help it make a little more sense to you.
  4. Some of those are VERY funny, I had to vote for someone else's

  6. Even to us Americans this is rather challenging! I'm only about half done after 2+ hours of work.
  7. With a coin of this rarity, the particular certification company doesn't matter all that much (among the big 4) as the rarity will drive the price, not who certified it. So then the only thing the owner has to be concerned about is the longterm protection of the coin. With that in mind, many people think that the ICG does the best job of protecting coins from tarnishing, since they use the intercept shields in thier slabs. I'm not saying this is absolutly the reason he chose them, but it is something to consider...
  8. I have historically been exclusively a date/MM collector, but recently I began a couple type sets.
  9. Here's my ugly! obverse reverse: enjoy!
  10. I had the same thing happen, I got a "mailbox unavailable" error
  11. Eric, Enjoy your birthday! Congrats on another successful trip around the Sun!
  12. I just checked on eBay and it looks like they are all closing at about $45-$55 each, so you should be able to do a set of the 5 for about $250...that's expensive, but it's $100 cheaper than buying the whole set.
  13. this one came today. I had an AG3 example, but this is my upgrade... obverse: reverse: it's in an NGC VG8 slab
  14. hmmm I guess the whole no Santa Claus saying is still true. If it looks too good to be true it probably is. The sad part is that people still fall for things like this and get themselves scammed. It really is too bad.
  15. I tried turning my monitor upside down to view the other side up, but I guess my monitor was made to only work right side up because the colors got all wierd and i couldn't see anything very well. lol, so I just rotated the image in photoshop, i suppose I should have done that first.
