This is the design of this year's €2 commem from San Marino (not available at face value though). It commemorates Christopher Columbus who died 500 years ago:

In a way I find the death commemoration kind of odd. The birth makes sense, but death? Are we happy he's gone? :ninja:

Cool! The Finnish design looks sober but interesting ... will hopefully soon get one too.

 

The coin from San Marino is also nice, but the obverse is a mix of a very full "pill" and an almost empty "ring". Will have to see the real thing before I know whether I like it or not. :ninja:
