SMS
Does anyone know if there has ever been a no mintmark Federal Republic 1 pfennig confirmed? I have a 1984 1 Pfennig with no mint mark and no evidence under scope that it had been "rubbed" or "polished" away. Any references would be appreciated. Thanks! SMS
Thanks! At least I know there are a few others out there. Filled die sounds interesting. Think I'll see if I cn find any evidence on the coin that it may be.
tabbs
Since the proces don't seem to be high eitehr Germans don't collect errors or maybe this is just caused by a filled die? Collecting "error pieces" is not as popular in Germany as it seems to be in the US, I think. But there sure are people who are after those ... or else Peter Neugebauer would not have published his book. http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/3924861641/ Here is a page that lists some DM/Pf error pieces (but not the 1 Pf without? mintmark) ... http://www.sammler.com/mz/mark_abarten.htm#Kursmuenzen ... and this is a German language (sub-)forum that deals with errors: http://www.emuenzen.de/forum/fehlpraegunge...nd-variationen/ Christian (not an error collector)
