Damaged Lincoln

Here is a coin that has no collector value whatsoever. In fact, you might find it hard to even convince someone to accept it in change. It would be more appropriate to find a coin like this in a museum of oddities and curiosities but I just can't help including it here.<br.
I received this 1994-D Lincoln in change when I was living in Texas. I have no idea how this poor coin ended up in this condition. I have heard various theories from acid treatments to some kind of electrical experiment. My favorite theory is the Shotgun Theory

Even though this coin is barely worth its face value, it currently resides the The Stujoe Collection. I felt it had led a tough enough life and deserved a peaceful retirement. Besides, any time someone brings up an 'ugly coin' contest, it is nice to have this baby in my arsenal.
