casualcollector
Hi all, First time I could not find specific information about something that I encounter at. I know that this is a 5 dollar bill, however I could not understand whether this is the old variation, parallel variation or just a fake - variation. Your help will be much appreciated! Thanks! P.S this is my first post ever regarding coins and paper money (:
Dave
Looks legitimate to me. It was an issue prior to our current 5 dollar bill. Here's a link to the BEP showing the three most commonl found fives in circulation: http://www.moneyfactory.gov/small5denom.html
casualcollector
Thank you for the response and for pointing me to the site which helped me identify the note, it just says on the note "Series 2006" so I got a littlebit lost. BTW what does it mean if anything that note is of 1999 - 2003A series but says 2006?
Dave
Both the note you've shown, known commonly as the Big Head deasign, and the colorized note, were printed in 2006. The colorized version came out later. Thus the two designs with the same year.
