Help identify chinese banknote

Hello evrybody, this is my first post, so I just want to introduce myself. My name is Pierre, and I'm owner of ibelgica.be (free belgican coins website).

If you need any help about belgian coins, I'll be very pleased to help you.

 

This is my new purchase, and I was wondering if anyone could help me to identify this banknote ? I guess it's a chinese (traditional chinese) banknote... but not sure.

Hello Pierre. Welcome to coinpeople!

This is a Japanese note. It is called a Hansatsu note. They are quite fascinating notes. Your note is a 1 Silver Monme Issued by the Shibamura Han in the Yamamoto-Wahsu Province during the Enkyo (Edo) era, year 2 (Kinoto Ushi) - Western year 1745
