elverno
1804 Le couronnment, France. 23.5mm Bramsen 341 d'Essling 1030 (ptl.) This is a pretty common reverse you'll see on the Bay as "rare" on a regular basis. What is scarce about this one is this particular obverse. Most of his busts face right for one thing, and the legend isn't commonly used. Another piece I found lurking in a box with a note that I purchased it in 2005. Not sure why I never put it up. More likely sulking in the box because you ignored it so long, that might even explain why his head is now turned the otherway Beware, the SPCE(Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Exonumia) might take an interest in this case!
