samantha stevens
Hi, my son has a round 20pence coin. It silver, completely round, and slightly off-centre. We sent it to The Royal Mint, for authentication, and was told "Examination has confirmed that the coin is defective as a result of an error in the minting process". it goes on to state that the disc failed to enter the collar at the moment it received impressions, therefore retaining the round shape, abd its designs are off-centre. We have been given details of lots of dealers to contact, however we have no idea how much we should consider asking for. Does anyone know approximately what it might be worth? I have searched the internet, but cant find any info. Thanks
