jhfrombeecroft
These coins were noticed and reported in the early 1970's. However, as collectors thought they were common very few were collected. I re-discovered them in 1996 and having found 4 1967's, 5 1981's and 1 1968 2 cent pieces in the last 15 years I'd have to say they're very rare. Other collectors have studied them and they are not "filled" dies. I've seen a few in VF being sold at actions and two in mint-state in that time but that's it. jhfrombeecroft
Never heard of them. Have some pics? Thanks for sharing! I had trouble uploading it but the Krause catalogue mentions the variety but neglects to mention that it appears on the three dates mentioned.
