Possible fake or real jeton

Hi Folks

 

first post

 

this has been found recently, and was wondering if anyone has seen one before

 

the original Jeton of this period is 1385-1422, and copper bronze

 

Silver jetons were made for high ranking people

 

This has turned up, and appears to be a first for this type

 

but is it real?

 

thought i would ask the experts - thats you guys

From the softness of the detail it looks like it has been cast, which right off the bat strikes me as a counterfeit. I can't imagine they would make silver coins, even jetons through casting during this time period. I am however no expert on jetons so I will let someone else chime in, but my vote is for counterfeit, whether contemporary or not is another story.
