Trantor_3 Posted August 1, 2005 Report Share Posted August 1, 2005 Former and first president of the European Central Bank, Wim Duisenburg (70), has died sunday July 31, 2005. He drowned in his pool, after a heart attack, in south of France, during his vacation. Duisenburg was president of the "Nederlandse Bank" from 1982 - 1997 and from 1998 - 2003 he was president of the ECB.
