O: Bust in profile to left; IOANNES. MEDICES. Odoardi. FIL.;R: diamond ring and band (Medici emblem) Cast Bronze, diam. 8.5 cm. VT 248. Hill 1110-15 With cast medals as compared to struck medals it is harder to spot fakes/copies, this could be a poorly cast original or a fake or a later after-cast made for a museum etc. I have not seen anything about copies of this medal before, any info welcomed. I only paid a few dollars for it from Ebay.
