sholly
Hi New to using forums. I have what I believe is a Chinese coin. It is 39mm with a reeded edge. Here are the pics. The dates on the bottom are 1875-1908. It is also medal rotation.
constanius
Chinese Coins, Fantasy Coins, Emperor Kuang Hsu (1875-1908): Fantasy Silver Dollar, CD1885, Obv 3/4-facing bust, Rev dragon surrounded by Chinese characters "Happiness" (Kann B13). Could this be it? There are more Chinese counterfeits and replicas out there for sale then there are genuine coins. There are also numerous 'fantasy' pieces, 'artistic' creations that don't match a genuine coin design. Weight is often the only true proof of genuinity. sturzny
This is a souvenir coin of modern manufacture. There is a whole sequence of them showing all the Qing emperors and the dates of their reign. You can buy the whole set on eBay. They may have some silver content, but probably not much.
