Recommended Posts

On 4 June 2007, the National Bank of Serbia will release 500-dinar banknote to run in parallel circulation with banknotes of the same denomination issued in 2004.

The banknote is being placed into circulation to enable uninterrupted cash payment operations, as well as to replace the existing worn out and damaged banknotes of this denomination.

The new 500-dinar banknote will have the same design and security features as that of the previous issue, the only difference being in the year of issue and depiction of the coat-of-arms of the Republic of Serbia instead of the NBS logo. As underlined by the National Bank of Serbia, 500-dinar banknotes of both issues shall be used as legal tender. (Economy, June 1.)
