good luck with your note. i received mine in a flimsy oversized mailer with no cardboard support. not even a "do not bend" on the front. luckily, it wasn't damaged or bent. seller must be some average scotsman with a wad of bills and no experience in collecting.

Exactly the same manner that I got mine...I think he was targeting golfing collectors as opposed to note collectors...oh well, at least it was cheap.

Big month for me...I think i'll cool down with buying for a while after all this.
-
Thanks,Mike. I took that offer too, i've seen them sell for over $40 a peice on the regular auctions!

Yep, it's one of the new ones. The bank got robbed by the IRA and they had to change the colours on the notes.
Here's some new stuff:
Romania - New series, from ebay.
Syria - 1973
And now... (Here's a big one!!!)
Barrwed scan, mine is JUST as nice! It's a Saudi 10 Riyals from 1961. Books at $275 in UNC.

The 2 Kina! Beautiful pair, i'd be dissapointed if it lost.
Wait, if Ben's note wins, who gets the prize?

I never knew Venna as a Snake, but I did know her, as part of a contest, and oh, what a contest it was. People would make up a eulogy for the dearly departed. Even though nobody who entered had ever seen the Snake in person. Fun times, indeed. RIP.

Wow! Free money! Put me down!

Are you a specialized Norweigan collector?
Joakim
Not...really. It is one of my favourite areas of collecting, but its not my only country.
Your Macau notes sound nice, got any pics?
-
Hey...told you these were barrowed scans! My actual notes dont have any crinkles really either. Except MAYBE the 1950s 100 Kroner (The one that looks like a giant postage stamp.) but even there it just looks more aged then circulated a whole lot.
-
(Mine's UNC but this is the only scan I could find)
-
Oh also, I got a fair amount of money from my dad and spent it on these! (Too many pics to post in one post...watch the next few)
Oh andI got a scanner so as soon as I have time you'll be able to actually to see my notes as opposed to the barrowed scans.

From a friend. Despite the denominations being sort of low, this set cost me a little over $100. The Bahriani Dinar has a strong exchange rate.
