Approximately 800 1822 25c exists today, most of which are seen in circulated grades. The present specimen is a great type example for the large sized capped bust series. The last CAC apr was a decade ago for $518 03/12 ST. With increasing popularity of CAC and Low Ball, this example which features well outlined details and motifs is mark-free and has no problem. The 1843 Seated Dime like other dimes from the 1840’s had high demand, despite the large numbers very few exist today.
