I just joined Coin People today but I've been selling coins at yard sales for many years. It is a good way to meet other collectors and arrange trades besides bringing in cash. Many people who do not claim to be collectors will buy an interesting coin as a conversation piece and sometimes for the art of the design or even just because it is over 100 years old.
I've met many people who only want a single coin from every country and this has recently become my specialty. It is a real challenge finding coins from the hard to get countries.
My sales are made from a book with two dozen 20 pocket pages for 2 buy 2 coin holders. Each coin is individually priced and identified.
Sometimes this is extremely challenging. My very old Krause catalog helps tremendously.
My yard sales and occasional flea markets feature comic books, hat and lapel pins, toys, books, tools and one of a kind junk.
I would like to compare notes with other amateur and part time coin sellers.
