I checked 302 images of the 1800EM 2K and don't see an overdate as nice as yours. I *do* see a few that show the 8/7 (an example from Efimok 64/ May 2009 is attached) but none with a clear final 0/8 or 0/9

That Siberian kopeck is absolutely spectacular!
Pedantic note: It's a Denga (or at least a Novodel of a Denga)
-
you are welcome,
my corresponder has not answered yet regarding better/alternative site so that is my silence for;
my new coin looks like 1810 but can be as well 1810-1814 SPB-PS with letters "DAVI..",
what do yuo think?
Interesting! Do our counter-stamp experts here have any opinions?

for review/update of your current image on the rarity of 1810 copper coins is highly recommended the latest issue (#89) of the journal of russian numismatic society with Steve Moulding study in Imperial Russian coins
Thank you

i have opinion/rhetorical question: does it make sense to collect Novodel's coins ?
I curious if it worth my time or not ....
help to decide
Your question, as put, makes little sense to me. If you're asking as a collector, then why do you need to be advised on what to collect? If you like them collect them! What does it mean 'worth my time'

i was wondering, how does "schmutz" accurately bypassed the coat of arm, that a horseman left undamaged and is observed very well, may be because of frame of coat of arm prevented it from metal flow, also look at second 1 in a date - very wide one
...and the spaces at the base of the obverse 'H' and 'M' seem to filled somewhat....
-
Hmm...something doesn't quite feel right.
There's all that schmutz across the eagles, and the lettering and crowns just don't seem as sharp as they should.
I don't know. Anybody else?

Steve, pls correct me if I am wrong:
:
I would wait on your respond,
Thank you on advance.
Hi One-Kuna. No I don't think you're wrong. I wouldn't interpret my 'scarce' (R on Bitkin's scale) too literally. It could well be R1...I don't know at this point. That said, we have seen 5 now quite easily and assuming they're all genuine it's an interesting question as to how to reconcile that with the findings of our respected colleagues Mr Adrianov and Bitkin.
Best,
Steve

So, in just 4 days 5 rare(?) coins were easily found on just one forum. Can you imagine how many of them can be found if all forums start looking ? Are they really that scarce ?
Well this brings up a good point.
While I agree that there are probably quite a few of these to be found if we look, we have to be somewhat careful.
The problem is we've now introduced a selection bias by actually looking for this exact variety. Yes we found 3 more but to be fair we should really ask for people to look for every possible variety of 1810EM and count how many One Kunas show up.
My 1810EM data set was reasonably unbiased. It was built before we started looking for this variety; when I did look I found *roughly* 1 example in a 100 coins. Scarce in my opinion. I suspect that's actually a reasonable ratio. So I would still say they're *relatively* scarce, though perhaps not absolutely scarce.
Best,
Steve

Yes, they are two large crowns both sides, THANK YOU Steve for the images.
As a result, three only observed/found/posted/auctioned/known:
one is in US and two in Russia.
My 2 kopeks I think has better condition of both crowns, in contrast Conros one's has better Arm and wings, but mine had also very clear wings details and excellent surface around the eagle...the one from Staraya moneta is the worst one, but rare anyway!
Waiting with inpatience for the next Steve research on Alexander I copper coinage (especially 1810)
You're very welcome
If you want to do/publish your own research before my Alexender I studies are done I can send you a CD with the 1810EM 2K images.
Best,
Steve

Yes, your small/large crowns of chicken type are identical to the crowns of Monety i Medali with the subsequent (I call it latest ) eagle. Have you seen Staraya moneta museum page where Adrianov informs that he saw only ones yours and mine?
Now, I was wondering if you ever seen the one with two small crowns; I need that data so I know where to aspire to. Also waiting on Steve stats where did he see mine two large crowns as a second piece in Russia. Thank you everyone !
Conros363 Lot 474, 15,300 RUB
Both look like the large crowns to me.

Very scarce! Out of 290 1810EM 2K, I've only seen 2 other examples, both in Russia.

This CD-s have very nice outlook. I am not 100% sure that this is pirate.
Tallinn: It's very easy. If it's legal (and it was you who suggested it might not be) you should be comfortable telling the name of the dealer who is selling these. I'm not asking for it. I don't want it. But if you are not prepared to do that, you have your answer.

I have recently received my copy of Mr. Bitkin's catalogue from Antikvarius as well. What a wonderful work it is! It is amazing how much research, how much knowledge, how much time and effort have gone into creating this superb reference every serious collector would treasure. It is infuriating to think that someone would have the arrogance to steal it!!! And it is discouraging to think that one of us would consider using the pirated copy .
Agreed. Well said Maya.

I am not advacating anything, rather just sharing my knowledge. It's up to him what to do with these links
Sorry but you are advocating it. Saying you are not doesn't mean you are not. You said "Try torrent site". And please spare the "I'm just sharing my knowledge". It's Bad bad bad.

(Edited out)
Stop!
This is advocating downloading somebody's copyrighted work. Stealing it. I've seen Bitkin on one of these sites too. It's illegal. It's unethical.

I bought scanned Bitkin cataloque on two CD from dealer in Estonia. Maybe it is not legal, but handy. Price was 65,-USD.
(pretty much in that order)

Moscow Mint (MM), I'd say, even without seeing the other side, judging from the style and color.
Looks normal.
