YeOldeCollector Posted August 6, 2009 Report Share Posted August 6, 2009 I'm looking to purchase a coin for a friend who is really into his Classics and I mean really, studying it for three years at Cambridge seems to have reinforced its hold on him... Anyway, he has a strong interest in the Roman Republic and the Ptolemaic dynasty so I am thinking of a coin of this sort of era/area. Something that is in good condition and has a fair bit of history attached. I'm not looking for anything rare, just something with historical value and remains aesthetically pleasing. I'm not looking to spend much, about $30 maximum, but would really appreciate any advice as this is certainly not my area of expertise so am hoping that some ancient coin buffs here can lend a hand.
