Oh, and for those who may be wondering what the "nightcrawler" anomaly actually is, here is an info tidbit. 😉

I recently acquired a second Nightcrawler DIVa. This one also came from Brian Vaile of the Ike Group. It is an upgrade to my previous 67DCAM, but this new one (68CAM) does not have the additional struck-thru error present. So, the 67DCAM specimen retains its unique status as the only known struck-thru fiber/thread inclusion Nightcrawler. The "nightcrawler" itself is a hubbed-thru debris artifact. I've included a comparison photo below. This is my favorite Ike variety for sure, and there aren't many around. Last time I checked I believe there were approximately 20 known examples.
Love that red DIVA sticker.... -
It's been far too long since I added a Morgan to my collection, so I did something about it: 1880-S NGC MS62 - a low grade, but I like how the toning on the obverse makes it look like a painting. It's hard to tell from the straight-on slab shot, but the colors are much more vibrant and include electric blue (predominant) with hints of red and green. They show up better in the second picture. A buy I couldn't resist at less than $20.00.

My latest purchase includes two "Nightmares of the Fall" silver rounds produced by Head or Tails Coin Company. This was my first purchase from JM Bullion. I love the antique finish as it brings out the finer details of the design. Besides, I love Halloween themed coins, so these fit the bill quite nicely.

I am new to this Forum, but I've been collecting since 2011 when my dad divided his coin collection between my brother and I. My interest was really sparked by those big silver dollars, Morgans and Peace. I also have fond memories of the Eisenhower dollars as I actually spent them as a kid. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, sharing information, and posting LOTS of pictures.
