I received an 1849 large cent that I purchased from Bill. My first large cent. I just love it! I was watching the President's State of the Union address tonight, and I just kept looking at the coin and wondering how many people used this coin back in the mid 1800's. I know Zachary Taylor was the President back then and in 1850 the chief question of the day was the future of slavery in the new territories. So where has my coin traveled? It will have a very cherished place in my collection. Thanks, Bill!
cool, congrats! what a historic coin to have. when you say "large cent", are they really much bigger than a Lincoln penny? just curious

Sometimes they come through the first time and I think miss one and come back and throw it on the table in the porch, that's where they usually are.

here is my newest, as it arrived today.
1975 Bermuda $100 gold, to commeriate the Royal Visit of the queen in '75. Nearly 1/5 oz. of .900 gold, and a beautiful coin (especially for the $99 i paid for it!)

But don't have the space there in the front tag. I had to do that or it wouldn't post.
Cool! thanks Tiffibunny!

1893 Hungarian 20 Korona for me; about the size of a nickel and roughly 1/5 ounce of .900 gold. A beautiful coin to be sure; the picture shows the reverse, which is of two angels holding the crest of Franz Joseph (if I read that correctly)

I just recently won an auction for this one; a Bahamas 1/5 ounce gold coin. I'm new to collecting and am focusing on world gold. At $96 and the high price of gold, i think i got a very fair deal!
