I am a new, wet behind the ears collector living in Brisbane Australia. I am interested in pre-decimal Australian silver coins and also British coins from the time of first settlement in Australia until 1910.
I joined the forum to form contacts so that I may learn more of the fields that I am collecting in and also to find people willing to sell me coins that I don't have at reasonable prices. So far, on eBay and in another precious metal forum I belong to (which explains how I was lead into coin collecting) I have bought about over 100 coins including 4 sovs, 4 half sovs, numerous crowns, florins, shillings, 6pence and threepence and a smattering of bronze/copper cons.
I am afraid it has all been a bit random really as I have used my advanced eBay skills (lol) to find good value deals... which means some of the deals are not good value and I have made plenty of mistakes.
Anyways, I look forward to coming to know more of you as time goes on.
