  1. Hi, i am a collector of Scottish banknotes, and have now a collection of over 340 notes, dating back to 1804. I also have been researching Scottish replacement notes, and wondered if any fellow members out there have these within their collections, and would be willing to share the following details with me :

    Issuing Bank.

    Denomination

    Date of note

    Prefix and serial number

    Condition.

Also if possible i would like a 300dpi scan of the front of the note, but this is not essential.

I have now built up information of approx 1400 Scottish replacement notes, so any information is greatly appricated.

If you are able to assist, please mail me directly at mickw641@me.com, with the above details, stating your repling to this forum.

    Many thanks.

  2. Hi, there are collectors who are interested in low serial numbers, and the ultimate number is 1, so i would suggest that this note is in fact worth more than its face value. A lot of collectors however, would only consider the '1' notes in Unc or EF condition, so what you could get for it would very much depend on the condition of the note.

    Thanks.
