I'm guessing those were aftermarket platings. I don't recall ever seeing gold plated listings in my catalogues.

That's a whole lot of coins. And with the others that come only in the sets (X-Mas, 50c and those two hockey 25c) that makes 16.

That's entirely too bad.  The 50cent is my favorite of all the pieces.

Me too. At least we can still get them in the sets. I recently got a 2004 50-Cent separately that somebody broke out of a set.
