Mohammad
Hi, I have recently collected these from an old man. Need to know what are these and what is written on those. Could anyone help?
constanius
It has a Sasanian king, and a sacred fire altar and attendants reverse, not my area, but this link is a start http://en.numista.com/numisdoc/sasanian-coins-186.html I have never seen a square one, so I am not sure if it is a genuine coin. Another great link for Sasanian silver coins http://www.beastcoins.com/Sasanian/Sasanian.htm
Mohammad
Thank you very much. Both of the coins related to Sasanian period?
constanius
I believe that they are probably later Arabic coins, using the iconography of the Sasanian period(both have the Fire Altar and attendants), after the Islamic conquest. But it is not my area, you might be better to post these on the "World of coins" forum. http://www.worldofcoins.eu/
