sturzny
Hey, does anyone know what the weight and silver content of the commemorative 10 Deutsche Mark coins where? Or at least how much they are worth on the market. They are 15.5 grams of 62.5% silver, or about 1/3 troy oz silver content. I have been selling them for $6 or so for UNCs, a couple dollars more for proofs.

The later issues, 1998-2001 (and all €10 pieces, 2002-) are Ag 925. Basically the unc 10 DM collector coins are, due to the high mintages, worth face value - if you carry them to a Bundesbank branch office, you get precisely €5.11 for one. And in general (there are very few exceptions) a dealer won't give you more. Christian
