They are typically the size of a US small cent and are made up of two main themes. The first is the Patriotic Civil War token. Patriotics are found with a political or patriotic theme their design. The token shown above is a Patriotic. The other type is a Storecard which advertised for a merchant. There are a wide variety of varied styles and designs of both types.
