A couple of things... Wondering if the 1943 steel penny can be restored at all (or at least somewhat). I know theyre not worth much, but ive got one that is a little bit oxidized. Also, anyone know what the UK Queen's Silver Jubilee commemorative coin is worth in good condition? :ninja:

The question is, why do you want to restore it? Once the damage is done, you can't do anything about it, except to slow down the process. Take it this way, once you get a scar, the scar is there to remain and to try to make any other treatments, you will leave scabs behind. Maybe there is plastic surgery, but there so far isn't one for coins.

About the British coin value question, it might be better if you ask that question in a seperate thread, perhaps inside the British Specialized forum.

OK. Thank you very much for the information. It's just that it doesnt look that bad, like it is just surface oxidation and I thought I could soak it in something without scratching it or damaging it otherwise. I will connect with the british forum for the other questioin.
