Picked up a new coin for the 8 reale collection recently. Just waiting for it to arrive. Also has it really been so many years since I've updated this? Jeesh, lol. I have gotten plenty of other coins... I should image them... Meh. :)

Oh I've been skulking around for years, I just don't own a real computer anymore so I don't spend much time on forums. But I'm around. ;)

Got a oddball thing off eBay this week. Just have a look, lol.

And yes, I will be trying to remove the pot metal solder in my studio. Lol

Yep I still do metalworking. Not as often as I'd like but I do it now and then.

I'm hoping to salvage all of them but it'll be a challenge because of the temperature that this junk solder melts at. Basically I need to flow it off the pieces by introducing an extremely hot solder pick to it when it's molten. The solder always goes to the hottest point.

The application and type of solder is not contemporary to the period. It's likely from the early to mid 1900's.

Nice Bohemond III piece, Vfox!

Here's one I used to own, if it gives you any more info.

Nice, that's quite a bit better than what I got. And yes that helps quite a bit on the info.

No real reason other than they just kinda spoke to me. Lol

Best reason there is. I always come home from the Ohio State show with a couple that fit that category. :)

Two tiny tiny Ottoman Empire coins. I really don't know jack about these. If I'm holding them right, or what they say. But...they were $3 each so I thought they'd make a nice oddball item. Any info on these would be awesome.

As far as I know they are full coins. They are paper thin however, they remind me a lot of the US silver trime.
