willieboyd2
A disadvantage to living in California. No 1000-year old coin hoards. However, dreams of Spanish treasure abound.
bill
A disadvantage to living in California. No 1000-year old coin hoards. Oh, but our recent run of uninterrupted days of liquid sunshine more than makes up for the disadvantages. Working in a coin shop in the 80s, I would hear about finds of Spanish treasure (no one ever brought in an actual find, they just knew someone who knew someone). As an archaeologist, I saw only two coins from digs referred to me for identification. Spanish (Mexican mints) yes, but hardly "treasure."
