Dave
I was wondering how many banknotes I had with Coins depicted on them? I found about 9 of them, but as I am not knowledgeable with ancients at all, some might be other than coins. Here's what I came up with real quick: Anyone else have any coins on banknotes? Blackhawk
There are some old US notes that have coins on them. I believe that they are gold or silver coin notes.
ccg
The U.S., India, and China are three counties I can think of that have issued notes in the past depicting then-current coins.
see323
I have a note with banknotes on it in my collection. This is a Taiwanese commemorative polymer solid number banknotes (first prefixes). This banknote commemorates the 50 years Anniversary of production of Taiwan printed banknotes in Taiwan. Interestingly, polymer banknotes were actually printed in Taiwan instead of the pioneering Australian Polymer banknote printing company. jb1967
I am not sure if the Czech not has a coin pictured (maybe a medal) or royal seal ? Jacques
Dave
Got this note about a month ago: And then I got this coin to go with it: While not the actual coin on the note, it is similar - but a 1970 Proof. It supposedly has a limited mintage of 2,187, but I couldn't verify that.
