Dez. 1916; (Peace offer from the- Central Powers) Cast Bronze, 58mm VZ/UNC Obverse: Two armored German hands release a dove holding a leaf of olive in its beak. Reverse. Lloyd George of Britain places the peace dove back into the cage, while the door is held open by a trusty Russian. Poincare holds back the other allies as symbolized by seedy looking characters. Inscription, "Die Tauben" (The Doves). This medal commemorates the presentation of note by the Central Powers to Entente containing peace proposals.
