Made a trip to Las Vegas and picked up a few rolled cents and a Grateful Dead Steal Your Face chip on Freemont street.

I tried to photograph a purchase today, but gave up. I volunteered to work at the Houston Gem and Mineralogical Society annual show yesterday and today. (I'm a member.) While there too much shiny stuff. Rocks real shiny rocks. Look at the shiny rocks. Must buy some shiny rocks. Anyways I went ahead and picked up a small parcel of opal, a couple coprolite slabs (fossilized Dinosaur poop ), a trilobite, fossil leaves, fossil shark tooth, and a couple geodes. They main thing I was trying to photograph was the opal but a rough parcel is about impossible to get a good picture of.

I'm thinking the lighting will be quite a challenge. Have fun with it. Sounds like a nice show and some nice purchases.

I'm starting to pack up to move. And found 3 coins I had set aside and forgot about. 1801, 1803 and 1806 Large Cents. In poor condition, but they were cheap plus a group discount.

Well this is fun. 2 more 1882 S and 1904 O Morgan Dollars. Haven't even checked for VAM. Believe it or not these are PCGS green label rattler 63's. A couple I think they graded too high maybe just barely squeak by as 63's.

Enjoy the move and your new home. The PCGS rattler's tended to be more conservative than they are today but there were always some questionable calls. The coins look nice in the photos. I especially like the design on the Canadian dollar.

Well, my mistake to go to the coin shop. Both of these were spur of the moment buys. Mainly just seeing a proof like morgan at a reasonable price.

Three more forgotten coins. One of these days I need to go through the rest of my coins. Right now I'm just posting a few items that catch my eye. I've got a lot in what could be called mass storage.

I'd like to take a trip through your old storage. WOW! My collection would be very happy with those.

I doubt if I ever will photograph all of the proof and mint sets. I think I only put up a few sets out of those. I do want to go through and at least get the rest of the silver quarters, mercury dimes, and indian heads. I almost thought about swamping omnicoin when Anton started the contest. I never did put those 5 morgans (I ended up giving my nephew the 1889.), 1928 peace dollar, and the rest of the coins I bought in a group from the pawn shop. May try some more in the next few days.
