Burks
Picked these up today at my favorite shop: 1937 Chile 5 Centavo - UNC is lovely! 1945-D Philippines 20 Centavos - Just a nice AU piece. 1901 Great Britain 1/2 Penny - Some nice original copper color. Will post this in the grade guessing section. 1835 Canada 1/2 Penny Token - I have no information on this. I have a post over on CU asking about it (topic in the token/medal area here also). No pictures. Left my lenses at my apartment (again). Will be up tomorrow night.
Burks
My only buys from the Wooster Coin Club show today: 1924 P - Peace Dollar - "Junk" silver bin buy. Best out of it. 1957 Proof Lincoln Cent
Burks
Picked up only my second half dollar commemorative today. 1986-S Statue Of Liberty - $
jtryka
Nice buy! I think the modern commem halves are perhaps the most overlooked of any commem series!
Lucille
How about you buy the HepKitty a nice frozen strawberry Margarita!
Burks
How about you buy the HepKitty a nice frozen strawberry Margarita! Sure thing! When and where? Well I didn't exactly "buy" these quarters but they were part of my payment for working this weekend. 1964-D Washington 1956-P Washington Someone paid with silver quarters so my boss, knowing I like coins, gave me two on top of my pay. I was pleased!
elverno
Nice bonus! And it only cost your boss fifty cents!
Burks
Received my prizes from Blackhawk today. And what was one of the extras? An awesome 1923A German 500M!!! Check out the die breaks on that bad boy! This is, by far, the best looking 500M I've ever seen. Ignore the yellow.....all my Reveal bulbs are burnt out. It's blast white. Burks
Long overdue update. Received the 1965 Hungary 2 Filler I purchased off eBay. Key date. I'd call it a solid XF, chance at maybe AU50 if the graders had an awesome night the day before. Not bad for less than half the catalog value from 7 years ago! It's a neat coin. Bought it 1/2 because it's a cool looking coin, 1/2 because it's a "key date" even though it's modern. *shrugs* I'm still a poor college student except now I have a friggin house to pay for! Sort of neat looking through my old thread at coins I have completely forgotten about. Most of my coin/notes are stuck away in moving boxes still from almost a year ago. Might have to start digging through those in three weeks during my break......and actually hit up that coin shop. Got to love the 50% off world coin bin(s)! At least they better still have it. Before they were selling silver coins at or below melt....

Burks
Bolivia : 50 Centavos - 1901/0 overdate Finally came today. Nice coin, reverse has some luster left. I'd call it a VF. Obverse is a little too worn for the XF designation. Still a nice looking overdate for $10.
Burks
Purchased this off eBay today: 1861 Willhelm Koenig 1 Thaler (my first Thaler) Not my pics BTW I do recognize it may be cleaned (probably is seeing the marks) but the quality is there IMO. Picked it up for less than melt, picked it up for less than 1982 Krause VF price. So yeah, I think I did ok. Anything less than melt is a good buy to me! Especially if it is a cool coin. Burks
The coin in hand is much nicer than the photos. The lines are much less noticeable, it looks to be an old cleaning to me. Details are definitely there. AU details to me. Very heavy coin to for the size. Thick. Nice work on the edge as well. I'm happy!
Burks
I hereby NECRO my own thread. Long overdue. Purchased a Vatican Commemorative Pope coin, UNC in a NGC holder. Why? It was $7 delivered. I bought the plastic, I'll admit it. I also want at least one coin of each pope (being Catholic I guess). So why not? I've got about 30 bids on eBay right now. I expect to win 1-2 more. Some are longshots but who knows.......power outage for the other bidders?!?!?!?
