elizabethann
Just out of curiosity, I have a few friends who would like to get one of those owl coins, but can't seem to find good ones. How rare are they? It seems to listen to my friend that they are like trying to find a unicorn!

How rare are they? It seems to listen to my friend that they are like trying to find a unicorn! They are not rare at all. But they are rather pricey. In full EF expect $1000. An aVF with minor problems/slightly off center you can probably find for $500-$700. If you have the money you can always find one of these. Sure wish they could be found at those prices, in those grades Choice examples can go well into the thousands.

Woops, that should read $2000 for EF. $1000 will get you a decent one, but with some problem. Here's one that went for $2000 at Leu $

Ray
That Tetradrachm is just amazing. Heck, I have pocket change that's not that choice! Good comparison jkaros. It's amazing this coin is 1500 years old.
ikaros
Closer to 2500--it's 450 BCE, not CE. Whurf. I've seen coins that are my age worn back down to being planchets again, and this looks mint fresh and it's about 2400 years older than me. That hurts.
