Dads Stuff
I have a Dansco album with a complete set of nickles from 1938 through 1988 including proofs. I have checked completed Ebay sales for pricing for the set without much luck. My research leads me to believe that in this case, the parts are greater than the whole. It is very probable that the 1939D & S coins will sell for more individually than the complete set at the same grade. So I guess my question comes down to...Is it crazy to think about breaking apart a nice set to sell the coins individually? Thanks Linda
gxseries
Perhaps it is more profitable and I believe it should though. Although it will take a bit of effort to break it up and try to sell it individually... Perhaps someone could give you an estimate of how much it could be. Well at least you know the value of the coins is roughly what is it in the red book and sum them up
