Trantor_3
get more coins and maybe some coin books to be a bit more specific: Coins: US, 2006 issues and stuff for my type set, hopefully including some Liberty seated stuff; Canada : several George coins UK: Pre decimal, george and victoria NL : 2006 issues and more Wilhelmina era coins and perhaps Willem era too SA : whatever I find, don't have yet and can afford DR : whatever I find, don't have yet and can afford other countries : whatever I run into, don't have yet and can afford Books: I'm considering "Krause standard catalog of world coins 1801-1900" and Charlton " Standard Catalog of Canadian Coins"
Tiffibunny
The first thing I'd like to do is complete my Ike Dansco which I only need a '73 40% Proof. I would also like to find a book or two on Swiss coinage and exonumia.
henare
fewer US coins (which isn't a stretch--i've only been buying commems lately, and i'm feeling pretty disgusted with the whole process), and more euros. plus, whatever else strikes my fancy. that, and maybe some organization. i've started to clean off my desk today ... labmom
How come? I know sometimes I'll get like that, but it usually lasts 24-48 hours Seems like ever since my dad passed away I have little to no interest in anything but sitting around being a couch potato. Jan
Too bad. My goal this year is to try and use more self control and not spend a lot of money on coins. Yes kind of boring.
bigd349
In 2006 I would like to add to my upgrade my statequarter collection somewhat. I'd also like to start another collection, of which I'm not sure yet, and just keep up all of the other collections that I have going right now with out going broke. mmarotta
Not a "collecting" goal, per se, my current numismatic writing goal is to complete a paper I started last year for the Sundman Lecture. My topic is the wildcat banking era. I believe that we misunderstand it. Do we claim that "wildcat tailors" sew buttons on shirts using the least amount of thread in order to cheat their customers and then are nowhere to be found when the button comes off? Anyway, polemics aside, I have 20 books here that I need to digest into footnotes in order to publish. That's my numismatic goal for 2006. The other work -- monthly column; quarterly journal -- will come as a matter of course.

Scottishmoney
Be a frigid day in Hades before I would ever have my coin collection that organised. I can't remember where some large size Chinese coin is right now. Probably find it in three months.

No, I don't think it is outside of my office. It is under a pile somewhere. It is a large piece, about 52mm or so so it should turn up somewhere. I am an accumulator-hoarder not an organiser. Sir Sisu
-To continue on my 2005 goals which I did a fairly good job at -especially with orgainizing my collection. -Work on my large silver coin set -Not to start any new collections -Try to discard my "keep one of everthing" habit.
