Goetzdude
K-24 Munich German Museum, 10th Anniversary Commemorative, 1913, Cast Silver, 74.8mm, Wt.119.5g, Edge punch, “KGoeTz” at 6:00 and “SILBER” at 12:00. UNC, RRR. Obverse: Bavarian Prince Regent Ludwig, bust left., as Protector of the museum. Inscription, “ Ludwig, Prince Ruler of Bavaria. The German Museum’s noble protector.” Reverse: Worker and owl in huge gear. Inscription, “ 1903 Munich 1913.” This is a little known early piece of Goetz’s. It is scarce in Bronze and, to date, unrecorded in Silver. Kienast makes no mention of a cast silver piece in either volume.
