Or would a digital camera be just as easy? The scanner I have was for my old computer(Win98) and doesn't support the new one with XP. So I am trying to decide whether to buy a new scanner or just try taking pics with the digital camera. Getting true color on notes is extremely difficult with a digicam. I never got it down. I've always had problems with scanning "deep", and usually anything proof, specimen, or has alot of die polish marks. For banknotes, you pretty much have to scan.
