The UPS man brought me some much needed supplies. 2 50mm airtites for those HUGE swiss medals. A 50 roll quarter box. 25 quarter tubes (Bicents anyone???) :ninja: And my 8th 14" double 2x2 box. Things are getting a little out of hand here....

FAO-german.JPG

The 1970 FAO 2-coin set from Yugoslavia, with the German insert. I already have this set with the English insert. Next will be to find the third and final set, with the Serbo-Croat insert. Included in the bulk lot that had this set was also a Yugoslavia 1953-55 7-coin mint set, which I will be listing for auction later this evening, and a pair of other Yugoslavian sets, which are duplicates, and may become available, soon. Also included was a Russian set, seen in this thread.

Got a terrific book all about Euros. Thanks Banivechi. Included a nice set of coins from Romania -- all brand spankin' new.

A great prize.

This arrived yesterday.  You'll be seeing her again in the next PCI.  ;)

Anaconda coins had a silver proof version of this medal listed on Ebay not too long ago.

Your copper version looks better. :ninja:

I bought one of those $10 face lots of junk silver off eBay, paid about 6.3x face and it arrived yesterday. Here's what I got:

40 dimes:

25 1964 P/D Roosevelts

15 Mercuries:

1924, 1936, 1941, 1941-S, 1942, 1942-D (x2), 1943-D, 1943-S, 1944, 1944-D, 1944-S, 1945 (x2) and 1945-S

12 Halves:

7 Franklins:

1949-D, 1951-S, 1952 (x2), 1952-D, 1954-D, 1963-D

5 Walkers:

1935 (x2), 1939 (x2) and 1944

Nothing spectacular, but not a bad assortment for melt value!

Plus it cost only 10% of what Anaconda wants for theirs. ;)

from my cousin in Calgary, as chrismas present :

Canada 2005 V-nickel

Canada 2005 50 cents proof silver with butterfly hologram (Great Spangled Fritillary)

The coin is not coloured, but the holographic image makes it appear to be coloured. If you tilt the coin a little, the colours change completely

Edited to use my own picture now :ninja:
