Kazakhstan National Bank emits jubilee coin

A new bi-metallic. I wonder if this is going to become the norm for Kazakhstan. They started out using the 20 tenge as their circulating commems, but mid-way through 1999, they raised the face value to 50 tenge for them. They issued a set of 4 bi-metallic 100 tenge circulating commems to celebrate 10 years of the tenge in 2003, but returned to the 50 tenge pieces afterwards.

Possibly dumb question from somebody whose native language is not English :ninja: -- what is wrong or odd about the term "emit" here? I would have used "issue" in this context, but don't central banks emit notes, for example?

'emit' seems less voluntary ... 'issue' seems to say "we've placed this out there, and it's good for use as currency," whereas emit is something that just happens that may not be not controlled ...i haven't consulted a dictionary, tho.
