Help Identifying US Coin

It's called a double eagle* and was in fact worth $20 when issued. If genuine, it's made of 90% gold so its current value would obviously be much higher. The lack of a mint mark indicates it was made in Philadelphia.

That said I'd pay to have the coin evaluated. Based on the pictures, some marks near the date look a bit suspicious but I'm not an expert in fakes.

* "Eagle" is the name of the US $10 denomination but IIRC the name never appeared on coins issued at the time.
