Coin photographing with homemade primitive camera stand

I made this primitive camera stand of leftovers from previous hobby projects. The coin is placed on the lower shelf and the camera on the upper shelf with the lens through the hole. Most coin photographers seem to agree on black as the best background, so I glued black paper on the lower shelf. The best photos are taken in the diffuse light outdoor on a cloudy day. Today I made a post about an unidentified coin, found while digging in my garden. The illustrating photo is taken with this homemade camera stand.
