c1ian2015
I have a 1985-d penny. It is super thin in the middle and thicker around the edges. Some reeding can be seen on the rim and it weighs 2.47 grams. I would like to know its value, or if anyone has any info on something like this. It is circulated. Corina
a photo would help in seeing what you are talking about but it sounds like someone coated with mercury or something

Corina
you have what is called a post mint damaged coin, either it is well worn or someone coated it with something after it left the mint
c1ian2015
Well thank you for your opinion. But there is the weight and reeding. And no trace of plating. So I will look into more.
Corina
best advice is to either take it to a coin expert or send it in to a grading company that will give you a expert opinion on the coin and then you can go from there
