Ashanthian Posted January 6, 2020 Report Share Posted January 6, 2020 2001 Canadian Dime with, I assume, an error. there is an inner circle that cuts right through the words, 'Canada', '2001', and 'Elizabeth II' Perhaps it is just marks form a coin slot. SMS Posted January 6, 2020 Report Share Posted January 6, 2020 Like Cort is damage to the coin after it has left the mint. Particularly, that is damage from a coin roller/wrapper machine. It is caused by the high speed crimping process and occurs quite often on the end coins.Of course, you can have such coins anywhere in a roll as circulated pieces can be re-wrapped numerous times throughout the years.
