Singapore/malacca chicken token (1 keping & 2 kepings)

Dear all,
Is anyone know the story about this singapore/malacca 2 keping chicken token? This token has 1 keping and 2 keping and minted at birmingham in year 1831 and circulated at singapore/malacca. It is easy to see 1 keping in the market but how come 2 keping so hard to see and after so may years only able to find few pieces. Anyone know wat happen? Thanks
