Burks
Anyone here collect the above mentioned coinage? Are there any books you'd recommend? Advice on where to start? Pretty much all their coinage is of interest to me. They all look great and I love their history (being Catholic and the grandson of a Deacon of 50 years). I've got a few coons here and there but nothing spectacular.
Art1.2
Don't know much about them but the Vatican Euro offering have produced a lot of interest. I know you can get on a mailing list and purchase the new sets from them directly. I don't have the info but it should be easy to find on the net. The series from when the Pope was absent would be especially interesting to me. Perhaps someday. Anyway good luck with your quest.

Art1.2
And of course, Omnicoin has a nice grouping of Vatican coins on display as well. http://omnicoin.com/search/?sort=date&sd=desc&tp=1&s_a=Vatican&page=

ccg
Not much info that I can provide but the post-WWI silver 5 lire pieces are amongst my favourites. Going a bit back, some of the Papal States minor coins are also not hard to get, and can be attractively priced.
Art1.2
There are a number of Papal medals that some folks collect. I have a small gold medal from Pope Pius XII that my mother requested from the Vatican for Frannie and I when we were married. I've seen others at coin shows but do not collect them myself. Burks
Whoa. Way more info than I ever imagined. This will take some time to sort out, which is a good thing. Thanks.
Arminius
The expression "collect" would be exaggerated. I take them if they are interesting or pretty and a bargain.
