gvbstar
Hi - I have a few coins that I am trying to find the value of. One of them is 1931 silver crown - in circulated condition. Where would be the best place to try and sell it. I also have a 1909 gold sovereign - again, in good condition. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks
YeOldeCollector
In general 'circulated' condition your best bet would be something like eBay but approaching a dealer could prove fruitful, too.
gvbstar
Hi - thank you. Any Idea of a starting price or do you have any good tips for listing them on ebay?
YeOldeCollector
Hi - thank you. Any Idea of a starting price or do you have any good tips for listing them on ebay? Large, clear photographs are a must. Otherwise ensure that you accurately describe it and list in the correct category. I always start items at 99p for a ten day listing and find it works. HarveyJMartha
If you can find a numismatist to buy your coin, you can expect to get more for your coin. For the price, you can browse a few online dealers and get a rough estimate. But, if you decide to list on eBay, try to describe your silver crown and gold sovereign with concise information. Do you believe a dealer would not charge of his/her profit the coin? maybe it would be better to approach some auctioneer .. or to try with the good, old but efficient ebay

(and less the hassle!)
thedollarman
Check for a c mint mark on the sovereign above the date in the dirt.
