Burks
TY (TY Beanie Babies) had three new bears out before these coins came out. It's like they knew this was going to happen, how bad the hurricane was, and made them ahead of time. Amazing how quickly they produce these things. jmpearso
Yea we can only hope that the money actually goes to the red cross...most of the time its just a lie. But then again, will the red cross manage it wisely?

Ætheling
The ugly side of Capitalism. Someone will always try and make money out of events like this. They did will September 11 too. What next London bomb coins? It just goes to show that if there's money to be made, ethics usually take a back seat.
SquirrelNuts
Interesting that I saw this article...I recently purchased a WTC recovery 2001 silver eagle in a Collector's Universe (not the PCGS) holder on eBay. They seem to be a hot item. Any thoughts on these? I am considering getting a few more as gifts and collectables. -Robert

I just ignore them. I mean, who profits?
