Art1.2
I recently purchased some coins and notes from a very nice fellow that I know from one of my photography sites. These were coins and such that his Dad had brought back with him from WWII. He had no interest as a collector and wanted to get them to someone who would care about them. Hence my purchase. This is a very interesting item that was part of the package. The booklet and stamps were designed around sending mail to those in the military. It was issued in 1944 and contained 1/2d, 2d, and 2 1/2d stamps. Some of each denomination remain. ccg
Neat - I seldom see booklets with multiple denominations in them.

ccg
I must say that the parcel rates are quite inexpensive.

ccg
Dream rates compared to today. But inflation takes it toll. But even as a multiple of letter rates, parcels these days are much much worse. A 6 lb package for 4x the cost of a letter? These days, for 4x the cost of a letter I can only send 9 oz of documents.
